This Tibetan Singing bowl is a one of a kind hand-made product. This bowl is made of the highest quality “Bell-Metal” which is an alloy specifically mixed for the beautifully haunting sound that is creates. The bowls contain seven metals, one for each planet of Tibetan astrology. Gold represents the Sun, silver the moon, copper Venus, tin Jupiter, etc. The allocations of metal are different in every bowl and vary by artisan based on the desired tonal quality and centuries old traditions that are handed down in the families or order. <br><br>These bowls are etched with intricate Tibetan Buddhist script and design. These brand new hand hammered bowls are imported by World Neighbor directly from a Tibetan community in Nepal. We only work with artisans that are responsible members of the community and practice fair trade to enrich all parties for sustainable trade. The singing bowl has a long and deep tradition in Buddhist meditation. The vibration of the bowl that is caused by rubbing the outside of the bowl with the stick is used to calm and still the mind during meditation. The bowl and the prayers that are uttered can cause noticeable positive changes in mood and anxiety. These bowls have experienced a surge in popularity in sound therapy and the integration of “Eastern” practices with “Western” norms.
